Running an Alfa R36 with a Tube n (Cylinder 150)

I was searching for a „all-in-one“ set-up for establishing Internet connections when abroad with a motor caravan. During my Internet research I came up with a cheap and easy to handle „Wireless-Range-Extender“, that may operate also as an Access Point and UMTS-Router amongst other features, that I am not going to use.

In addition I bought a Alfa Tube(U) N , that is able to operate as a long-range USB wireless adapter, with 2.4 GHz and a power of 1000mW (that can be adjusted according to national rules).

For operating an Alfa R36 with the „Tube N“ wireless adapter, you initially need to upgrade to Firmware 1.2.0.8.

The further process it described in details at Blogspot.
